1. The Wave Wall
Straddling picturesque Fort Lauderdale Beach, the Wave Wall is a seaside hotspot you’ll want to show off on Instagram. More of a continuous knee-level barrier, visitors can enjoy walking along the promenade and sitting at various spots along the wall. The combination of the solid white, wavy wall with the intermittent placement of palm trees makes for the perfect classic Florida beach photograph.
2. Secret Woods Nature Center
Just nine miles from Hollywood Beach Tower, you’ll find a serene natural refuge at the Secret Woods Nature Center. Its lovely boardwalk runs through ecological communities that include hardwood forests, freshwater cypress wetlands, and mangrove forests. Founded in 1978, this picturesque spot protects 56 acres of ecosystems, so if you’re visiting for photo ops, be sure to be respectful of the environment. Keep an eye out for photogenic birds, as the Secret Woods Nature Center is a popular area for birding.
3. The Yard at Wilton Manors
The Yard is a small shopping and dining district just north of Fort Lauderdale, where the small-town, friendly atmosphere delivers just as reliably as its fun photo opportunities. Snap pictures along the rainbow road and capture the shadows formed by the Eucalyptus Trees overhead as you stroll through the artsy village. 4. Bonnet House Museum & Gardens
Just under 13 miles from Hollywood Beach Tower, near Las Olas Beach, you’ll find the Bonnet House Museum and Gardens. Designated by the US Register of Historic Places, the estate spans more than 30 acres and features main and guest houses, music and art studios, and sprawling gardens. The grounds include five distinct ecosystems, such as dunes and mangrove wetlands. You’ll capture amazing photos at this national treasure, replete with stunning courtyards flanked by sky-high palm trees.
5. Gianni’s at Villa Casa Casuarina
About 16 miles due south of Hollywood Beach Tower stands the former mansion of Gianni Versace, now called Villa Casa Casuarina. Now operating as a luxury hotel, you can get a glimpse of this opulent locale by enjoying dinner at Gianni’s, an upscale dining establishment with menu items like Wagyu filet mignon and pan-seared foie gras. With both indoor and outdoor, poolside dining, you’ll feel like a celebrity when you dine at Gianni’s.
6. Wynwood Walls
Located along 2nd Avenue in Miami Beach, the Wynwood Walls district is a haven for fun photo ops. This outdoor hotspot features wall after wall of floor to ceiling urban graffiti by artists from across the globe. The former warehouse district was first transformed into the urban oasis it is today starting in 2009 and has grown to include the vibrant work of artists from a range of nations, including the US, Brazil, Belgium, Mexico, Portugal, Ukraine, Portugal, Greece, Spain, Germany, France, England, Japan and Singapore. 7. Ancient Spanish Monastery / St. Bernard De Clairvaux
Originally constructed in Spain between 1133 and 1141, this medieval church was illegally purchased and dismantled in 1925 by infamous newspaper magnate William Randolph Hurst. After shipping its pieces in more than 11,000 crates to New York, it was eventually reassembled and reconstructed in the 1950s and 60s in Miami. You’ll certainly want to show off this medieval monastery on your Instagram!
